Twitch Introduced Ad Revenue Model for Video Creators

Twitch introduces a new ad-based revenue model for creators that stream their live video, mostly gameplays, but not only. So far, the feature is in the testing phase. By including ads by the plan formed in advance, streamers can earn their money easier and focus on the content.
To access this model named Ad Incentives Program, a creator needs to go to the Ad Manager and proceed to the dashboard where they can schedule their ads in the streams. As a result of these innovations, creators will be able to plan their income by the number and the length of streams. When these ads are planned, the creators can focus on the content and make it better.
There are certain minimum requirements that broadcasters should fulfill. The broadcaster receives a part of the revenue after every 1000 ads. If during a calendar month the broadcaster has accumulated at least $100, the money will be paid 45 days after the end of that month. Twitch says this program will help streamers plan “a reliable floor of ad revenue”.
So far, the service offers this feature to select streamers who can enjoy ad revenue. These streamers are obliged by the offer to stream for a certain minimum number of hours. During these hours, a certain number of ads will be shown to the viewers.
Even when this program becomes available to all streamers, though, only those with an established fan base can benefit from this. This isn’t much of a change: even before the introduction of the Ad Incentives Program, streamers needed to have a certain number of followers to earn money on their broadcasts.
