PUBG Mobile Esports Postpones its CIS Pro League 2022

PUBG Mobile Esports developers decided to postpone CIS Pro League 2022 Spring Split. The decision was taken after Russia invaded Ukraine. They have announced it officially via the Instagram of PUBG Mobile RU. The tension rose in the CIS area, so officials had to stop the tournament.

The Russian-Ukrainian war took place last week when Russia brutally invaded Ukraine. Western countries have already criticized Russian actions. Many companies, including game developers, continue to leave Russia due to its inhuman behavior on its neighbor’s territory. While Russian troops are killing innocent children, women, and men, cutting any possible ways of escape, the worldwide community is getting more concerned.

PUBG Mobile Pro League is considered to be one of the massive events in the esports area around the world. The CIS is well-known for its professional teams like Team Unique, NaVi, and Virtus Pro. While this time there are teams with Ukrainian players in the tournament, PUBG Mobile decided to put the tournament on pause.

In their official statement, the company says that the administration of the tournament decided to postpone the match. There will be no spring split until the situation is clarified. The company said that they will continue to monitor the progress in the conflict and will send updates to the players. They will update the information once the peace is restored. The statement was originally published in Russian. Some of its expressions could be lost in translation. While the PUBG Mobile administration decided not to start the championship, the company still did not mention the conflict openly. Instead of blaming the Russian government, like it was done by other big developers, the message sounded rather neutral.
