Frostpunk 2 Developer Showcases Improved Idea Tree Panel and Readability

After adjusting the Frostpunk 2 release timeline from July to September, 11 Bit Studios demonstrated some of the enhancements they made to the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX). They shared an overview on Twitter of the revised Idea Tree Panel, highlighting how factions' perspective on an idea is shown directly beneath the faction.

The icons for the factions now display a greater variation in color, making them more distinguishable with a quick look. The font and size of the text describing the Idea have been enhanced as well, resulting in clearer and more noticeable labels. Furthermore, the overall clarity of the panel has been immensely improved. The creators also re-emphasized the insertion of five new City Hubs and an updated construction menu.

However, these are just a few of the tweaks and enhancements made to this survival city-builder game after its closed beta testing. The game introduces more detailed and intricate strategies for managing protestors, allows for redrawing district boundaries, and includes Zoom Stories—a feature that enables players to scrutinize the wellness of their citizens more closely.

Frostpunk 2 is set to launch on PC platforms on September 20th and will also be available on Xbox Series X/S and PS5 in due course, with release dates to be confirmed.
