Creators Will Be Paid on TikTok

Monetization will be possible on TikTok, offering its creators money for high-quality content. Just like YouTube, the option will involve advertising. With time, the creators will be able to receive decent pay for their contribution to the platform and TikTok will attract a larger audience and more opportunities for advertising on the platform.

Welcome TikTok Pulse, a new opportunity for monetization on the platform which involves contextual advertising. To get paid for the short video, creators must mix their engaging content with a brand in the For You Feed. To be able to receive an income share from TikTok, creators should have at least 100,000 followers.

Provided that the creators are entitled to monetization, TikTok will share as much as 50% of advertising revenue with them.  According to Sandy Hawkins, GM of North America global business solutions for TikTok, the option will be available for US creators starting from June and expand to other countries in the fall.

The decision to launch Pulse on TikTok will result in creators receiving decent and sustainable payouts for their video content, allowing them to generate more engaging videos in the future. Currently, TikTok has its Creator Fund to pay for popular videos to selected creators who contribute to the platform regularly. However, the payouts are rather small and do not motivate the creators to take TikTok as seriously as YouTube for consistent collaboration.

Additionally, TikTok previously allowed monetization for live streams as well as the launch of the Creative Learning fund giving money to creators of educational videos on the platform. So TikTok is highly interested in boosting creativity and attracting countless viewers to their media platform and is ready to pay for the best content.
