Concord Features Multiple Character Variants, Firewalk Looking into Leaver Penalties

The open beta phase for Concord did not manage to generate much enthusiasm on Steam. Nevertheless, Firewalk Studios has not been deterred and recently announced that the game will feature 12 maps at its official launch, with a plethora of customization options, but no battle pass.

In regards to participant dropout issues raised in beta feedback, the company stated it is evaluating numerous strategies which might include the penalty system for those who abandon the game prematurely. The ultimate aim is to maintain balanced teams and retain interest throughout the time of play. While no specific details have been confirmed, the studio urged players to remain patient for further updates and also hinted at the possibility of a join-in-progress feature for games with uneven player counts.

When it comes to Variants - alternate versions of Freegunners, each possessing unique passive skills, it has been confirmed that a wide array of options will be available for all characters. Earning these variants requires regular progression and the fulfillment of weekly Variant Unlock Jobs.

Lastly, for those who missed the Galactic Guide during the beta phase, it will be accessible once the game officially launches. As players progress in level, they will gain a richer comprehension of the game's storyline.

Set to go live on August 23, Concord will be playable on PS5 and PC.
