Battlefield 2042 Gets the Renewal Map Renewed in Summer

What do Battlefield 2042fans care about the most? It’s maps, maps, and again maps! It’s less of a joke than it seems, as fans do expect more maps and better maps. The first maps to get revamped are the well-known Renewal and Kaleidoscope, and the changes will make the gameplay more dynamic and less mechanical.

As the blog has it, EA and DICE are going to pay serious attention to maps before Season 1 starts this summer. The makers of the game have made some conclusions from the public discussions, and the changes will follow. No sooner, though, than this summer, as Season 1 is still scheduled on that time and not moved.

For both Renewal and Kaleidoscope, the main change will address the Flags and the Objectives. They will be moved around, so players have more strategic space to use. Another improvement that players badly wanted and will finally get is moving Spawn Bases closer to Flags. This will shorten the time it takes to get from one to another on foot.

The locations will also become more saturated with objects that can be tactically used. For example, the gazebo on B1 will be transformed into a military installment. There will also be more mud and barbed wire around, making the places less cleaned up and looking more like battlefields.

The developers will also edit the intensity, making it less probable to encounter an attack helicopter or an attack vehicle. The cooldown for these machines will be increased from 60 to 120 seconds. The new classification will treat MD540 Nightbird as an attack helicopter and MC5 Bolte as an attack vehicle, so these will also be harder to see, and they will cool down longer.

Would you like to see the maps changed this way? And would you prefer this new immersion to its previous version when vehicles and helicopters were more frequent and hotter? If you have something to say about it, tell it in the comments!
